Drawing Instructions
Step 1
Start by drawing a large triangle in pencil. Don’t ink it just yet but you can ink the two sides if you want.
Step 2
Erase the bottom of your triangle and draw a curved line like this from one side of the triangle to the other.
Step 3
Once you’ve got the shape of your watermelon drawn, leave a bit of space from the bottom and draw another curved like to match the previous one.
Step 4
Now all that’s left to complete this watermelon slice drawing is to add the seeds.
Draw a few oval-shaped seeds in black but make sure they’re sort of spread out and facing different directions.
Step 5
You can leave it black and white if you’d like but if you’d like to color the watermelon slice, use a pretty shade of red and green.
How To Draw Half A Watermelon
Here’s another easy watermelon drawing tutorial to try but with a different shape than the one before:
Step 1
Remember when we said you might need a cup or circular object?
Grab that object because you’re going to need it to draw a full circle like this. Make sure to do this in pencil first!
Step 2
Draw a line halfway through the circle you just drew and erase one half of the circle and now you can go ahead and ink this half-circle watermelon slice.
Step 3
All you need to do now is draw another half-circle to match the bigger one. Make sure to leave some space but not too much.
Step 4
This watermelon slice drawing is almost done and now all it needs are the seed details.
Draw oval shapes like these in different directions, spreading them out a bit.
Step 5
It’s time to color in this watermelon drawing by using bright green and pink.
Guess what? You’re finally done. There isn’t much to drawing a watermelon slice as you can see but if you want an easy and colorful drawing you can do it in a few minutes.
It’s best to stick with these adorable watermelon slices.
The thing I love the most about watermelons is that if you need a summer-themed spread for your bullet journal, then drawing a few watermelons will create a great pattern like this spread idea:
If you draw a few glasses of lemonade next to that, it gives off a great summer vibe but on its own with this watermelon pattern looks stunning, don’t you think so?
Before you head off, here’s what you’ve been waiting for – the coloring page, so make sure to grab this for later. You’ll have loads of fun coloring in this drawing.
