Drawing Instructions

1. Simple Leaf Wreath

Drawing Wreaths: Simple Leaf Wreath

Step 1

Start by sketching a full circle but don’t ink the circle just yet since for this tutorial we won’t be inking the circle at all!

Step 2

Next up, section your circle into two parts using a pencil. This could be at the top and bottom of the circle. Sectioning your circle it will help when you draw the leaves.

Step 3

The last step is to start drawing your leaves. If you look carefully, you’ll see that the leaves are sort of a heart shape that is joined together.

Continue drawing heart shapes till you reach the top of your section. Change the direction of the leaves as you move down towards the other side of the wreath.

2. Full Flower Wreath

Doesn’t this flower wreath drawing look pretty? This particular one is our usual go-to wreath since it isn’t too busy but it’s detailed enough to look like an actual flower wreath.

Step 1

For this easy tutorial, start by sketching a full circle in pencil (you’ll be erasing this later).

Once you’ve drawn the circle, start inking a few dots on the circle of where you’d like the flowers to be but also leave enough space for the petals.

Step 2

Now it’s time to draw the petals. Continue drawing all the flowers until you reach the end.

You could leave the flower wreath as is but if you’d like it to be more detailed like this, then go ahead and add a line curved out of the flowers with a small dot to finish it off.

3. Half Flower Wreath

Drawing Wreaths: Half Circle Wreath

This flower wreath is a little different from the others where only a certain part of the circle is decorated with flowers and leaves. I included a little tutorial as well to show you how I drew those leaves and flowers if you’d like to do the same.

Step 1

Draw a circle in pencil but don’t ink it just yet. The next thing you’ll need to do is choose a side of the wreath where you’d like your main flowers to be.

 Step 2

Start drawing two big flowers first and their big leaves. You’ll also want to add three angled lines for the extra leaves and a few more smaller flowers.

Put these together and you’ve completed your half-flower wreath drawing.

4. Flower Wreath With Leaves

Before we get started, here are a few drawing tutorials above that I thought would make things a bit easier for you like how to draw roses, leaves, and stems.

Drawing Wreaths Step 3

Step 1

Like with all flower wreath drawings, you’ll first need to sketch a circle in pencil. Then separate a few sides of the circle by drawing big flowers. You can draw the roses like the ones I did or draw any flower you’d like.

Step 2

Once your roses are drawn, the next thing you’ll need to do is add the leaves. Go ahead and add as many leaves as you’d like to make the wreath look bigger.
