15 Bathroom Storage Ideas That Won’t Break The Bank
One thing that I strongly emphasize when decorating a home is creativity. When it comes to bathroom storage ideas, every aspect needs to serve a purpose but the last thing you want is for it to look clinical.
Everyone agrees that bathrooms are our personal sanctuaries. We groom, clean, relax and nurture ourselves in bathrooms but it’s not always ideal when you have too little space to store essential items like towels, hairdryers and curlers, skincare products and accessories.
A bit of panache goes a long way in decor and even if you don’t have much space to work with, there’s a ton of different ways for you to store those essential items without compromising the look and feel of your bathroom.
In fact, much of the items on this list of 15 bathroom storage ideas are knockouts because they so much add color, style, and usefulness.
Table of Contents
1. Mounted Mason Jars
I have to admit that I was quite surprised by this storage idea because of how great it turned out and how cheap it is. Mason jars are so easy to find and don’t cost more than a few bucks! In fact, you could go so far as to reuse empty jam jars and still pull this idea off in style.

2. Replace Cabinets With Cheap Floating Shelves
To avoid a cluttered bathroom, pick up a few small wooden or plastic shelves and mount them where you would ordinarily install a medicine cupboard. It looks great, costs about the same amount as a medicine cupboard (if not cheaper) and most importantly, saves space.

3. Repurpose Pen And Card Holders
The inside of cupboard doors doesn’t have to be wasted space! All you need are some card and pen holders which you can pick up at any store and get some glue or two-sided sticky tape to complete this bathroom storage idea. It’s the perfect place to store makeup and skin care accessories.

4. Rustic Basket Cases
This is one of my favorite ideas on this list because of how elegant and warm this rustic basket case looks. You would need to pair it with a wooden ladder but if you head over to a second hand store, you should be able to find one at a reasonable price! Store anything from towels to magazines in it and save a ton of space in your bathroom.
5. Standing A-Frame Shelf
Another beautiful ladder based idea comes in the form of this A-Frame shelf. Granted, you might need to purchase the A-frame shelf from a store if you aren’t too knowledgeable about woodwork but the end product is worth the money spent. It looks outstandingly elegant and is something I’m hoping to use in my own bathroom.

6. Magical Mirror Cabinet
This idea blew me away! Nowadays, many people are looking for minimalistic bathroom designs that can still serve multiple purposes. The idea of creating a slide-in drawer that is concealed by a mirror is damn crafty. 10/10 for design and creativity.

7. Built-In Storage Unit
If you have ample space behind one of your bathroom walls and the ability to break open a portion of your wall without compromising the structural integrity, then this idea may just be perfect for you. This is a great way to create additional storage space without taking up any space in your actual bathroom. Clean, lean and totally mean. I like it very much!

8. Vertical Slide Out Storage Unit
Slide in and out draws that are concealed in plain sight are a really becoming a new craze and with good reason. Much like the storage idea above, you may need to access portions of your wall to implement these slide-in drawers but that totally depends on the design of your bathroom.

9. Floating Wicker Baskets
Wicker baskets are a personal favorite of mines. To me, they look old, rustic and modern all at the same. Typically these are used on storage cupboards but if you don’t have space for a cupboard, mounting them on your wall works just as well. Utilize the space above your bathroom sink, bathtub or toilet for this storage idea.

10. Aged & Floating Wooden Box
It only makes sense to feature a lot of wooden storage ideas because of how easily they blend into bathrooms and the ability to repurpose wooden planks without spending much money (if any at all). For this storage idea, a wooden box was used with wooden dividers to separate different essential items like toothbrushes, creams and so on.

11. Mini Metal Holder For Electrical Devices
Storing electric devices in a bathroom can be a pain in the ass because you have to always worry about avoiding contact with water or getting your cords and cables tangled up. This storage idea is the perfect fix for all of those problems. All you need is a metal holder that can be found at any home and decor store that can be attached to the inside of your bathroom cupboard. Easy as pie!

No place on your walls to hand towels? No problem, just pick up two towel rods and mount them to the back of your bathroom door. Sleek, effective and cost-effective, that’s what I love!

13. Floating Wooden Display Box
If you actually do have space for a cupboard and want to fill it up with something better looking than traditional medicine cupboards, why not get a display shelf made from beautifully textured wood and display frames to show off small and beautiful bathroom accessories like candles, essential oils and makeup brushes? Give it some thought, you could end up with a finished product that looks as gorgeous as the one in the tutorial.
14. Revolving Basket On Your Bathroom Basin
If you’re tired of everything in your bathroom being squared and want to add some rounded shapes, perhaps this round revolving basket may be what you’re looking for. It’s compact, functional and is perfect for sitting next to your wash basin. Best of all, it won’t really cost you more than 30 bucks brand new.

Last but certainly not least, we have floating metal/steal baskets that can be mounted above your bathtub or in the shower to store essential cleaning accessories. Again, much like the idea above, it’s cheap and super functional so I definitely recommend it.
