Imagine waking up to a fresh cup of coffee and the fresh smell of coffee floating around your room. Sounds like heaven to me.
In this awesome DIY, all you need is some stone textured spray paint, a base or glass cup, coffee beans, and candles to melt.
This makes a beautiful addition to any dressing table, coffee table or bedside table! If you’d like to try something new, then use coffee grounds to make a candle that smells delicious.
Must-Have:
Using this concentrated odor eliminator is another easy and quick way to make sure your home smells good ALL DAY long.
This spray has a delicious tropical scent to it (think fruit cocktails, flowers, and ocean breezes) and smells clean and natural. If you want to freshen the air or get rid of pet smells, this spray is a must-have!
It can be sprayed on couches, pillows, bedding, rugs, and so on.
Alternatively, if you’re more of a candle person, then this option will work great for you: (Click on the image to grab yours from Pourri!)
2. All Natural Fruit Rind Air Freshener
via freepeople
I’ll be honest and admit that I had no idea what Rind meant until I googled it (teehee) but anyway, for this natural freshener, you just need some sea salt, any fresh citrus fruit, herbs and or spices. Start by slicing your lemon, orange or lime in half, proceed onto removing the inside flesh and eat it. Then, throw in your sea salt, herbs and spices! It’s THAT easy!
3. DIY Potpourri
via freepeople
No toilet is complete without potpourri and for obvious reasons. Potpourri is super aromatic and does a fabulous job of masking bad odors and smells (especially near toilets). For this tutorial, all you need are essential oils, dried flowers, herbs, spices and any kind of container or glass. The great thing about potpourri is that it lasts for AGES so a one-time investment is all you pretty much need.
4. DIY Reed Diffuser
via sugarandcloth
For those of you who don’t know, reeds are known to soak up oils or fragrances and diffuse the delicious aroma into your room. You will need a vase, essential oils and rattan sticks or bamboo skewers!
5. Homemade Citrus Spray
I absolutely love anything and everything citrus, including citrus fragrances, which is why this DIY is my favorite from this entire list. It works super fast and leaves the most amazingly refreshing smell all over the house. All you’ll need for this citrus spray is (obviously) a spray/perfume bottle, orange, lemon, lime and rubbing alcohol or vodka.
6. Simmer Pots With ACV
via thecottagemarket
If it’s winter on your side of the world and rather than the fresh smell of citrus you would rather enjoy a sensational warm aroma of freshly blended ingredients, then you may just want to give this DIY a shot. You can throw together a bunch of herbs and spices like cinnamon into a pot and let it simmer on the stove or place your pot on top of a radiator.
7. DIY Incense Holders
Isn’t this one of the cutest things you’ve ever seen? Incense has always been a part of my life and will continue to be (given that I’m Indian). These incense holders, however, are something that I just learned about and can’t wait to make. You’ll need polymer clay, a rolling pin, a clay blade and acrylic paint for this cute DIY.
8. Deodorizing Disks
Last but certainly not least, we have these super effective and essential deodorizing disks for those hard to clean places. This DIY requires 2 cups baking soda, 1/2 cup water, Parchment paper, Essential oils and dried flowers(optional).
